“Jewellery as art” takes on new meaning with Julia Chiang’s recent Ring Pop art exhibits. Brooklyn-based Julia is a sculptor and earlier this year she created this fabulous Ring Pop installation for Miami’s OhWow gallery. Her sweet words are subjected to the heat from gallery lighting and over time they melt, creating trails of sticky ooze that collect on the floor. I love these images. Apart from being fun and colourful, they remind me of being a kid and spending a dollar at the corner store on a bag of mixed lollies.
